This square is possibly the busiest in Rome... this is what we thought on our travels as we were walking around.

Four of the city's most important and renowned streets meet here: the Via del Corso, the Via Quattro Novembre, the Via del Plebiscito and Via dei Fori Imperiali.

It is very close to the Roman Forums, Capitol Hill and the Coliseum... but then everything in Rome is generally within easy walking distance from eachother, which is a real boon!

Be on your guard when crossing the square though, as it seems to be very haphazard, cars just career around every corner, and Italian drivers here are not known for their gentlemanly driving skill!
