Moa is the tallest and bird in the world and is the largest living animal in New Zealand. However we could not see this animal roaming around now because it has become extinct about 200 years ago.

The statue of Moa is sculptured by Robin Coleman of Marton.
It can be found along the riverfront at the wharf.
