"On the GR5 trail" Massif de la Vanoise Off The Beaten Path Tip by wandeljp

In 2004 we started from Les Chapieux (Alps) to Bessans for 8 days hiking. It was in juli (mid summer) , but we had probleems with the snow. So if you go in the mountains, also in the summer, look for good warm clouds and listen to the meteo . We mount more than thousand meters this day!
The first night we sleep in Refuge du col de la Croix du Bonhomme.( look at the hotel tip)
