Gadsby's Tavern: "Colonial times, yes it is cheesy." Gadsby's Tavern Tip by sryan1123

Gadsby's Tavern, Washington D.C.: 4 reviews and 1 photos

The food, wait staff, decorations and everything are supposed to be from the days of George Washington. It is definitely a must, if you come to Washington for the historical experience. The waitstaff speak with a colonial flare.

The food is strictly old-style colonial - meat, meat and meat. Add a few potatoes and a beer.

Favorite Dish: Hunter's pie - meat and butter!
