Schlosskirche on a beautiful summer day
by King_Golo

The Schlosskirche (Castle Cathedral) is an example of Gothic church architecture, to be found near the centre of Chemnitz. It was built in the 12th century and contains several interesting works of art, such as the 15th century altar. Located on top of a hill, you have a very nice view over the Schlossteich and other parts of Chemnitz from there.

Address: Schlossberg
Directions: Schlossberg is the quarter around the Schlossteich (Castle Lake). It is easy to find, especially since the city decided to place signs nearly everywhere in the centre which help visitors to find the sights!
