Between them Diane and Brian Yates provide an excellent package of hosted B&B and 4 wheel drive tours. Brian's personal tour of the island over the two days we spent there was informative and enjoyable. His knowledge of the islands history, flora and fauna added a lot to the enjoyment of seeing kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, sea eagles, ospreys, sea lions and seals. He took us to Remarkable Rocks, Little Sahara as well as out of the way pristine beaches with no footprints and no litter.

Diane provided fantastic meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner with wine in a family atmosphere. The downside? Our trip to Kangaroo Island was too short.

Unique Qualities: Lothlorien Homestead is on the Murray Lagoon with beautiful views and direct access to bushwalking tracks. We stayed in a self contained apartment with bathroom and kitchen. This allows for self catering should you wish.

Price depends on the package you choose.

Address: Murray Lagoon, Kangaroo Island. South Australia
Directions: Out in the wilds, about 20 minutes from Kingscote Airport. You will need a vehicle or Brian will collect from the airport or ferry.
