"Turkish quarter" Old Bazaar/Carsija Tip by DPando
Old Bazaar/Carsija, Skopje: 20 reviews and 42 photos
Crossing the bridge (XV century) over the river from Makedonija square you get into the former turkish quarter full of bazar and small stalls where you could buy everything.... i was there in october but i could imagine it in summer full of people and so so crowded....in this time it was a pleasure walk around just few travellers i could see !!
Just crossed the bridge there is a tall and slim church on the left side (Sveta Dimitrija church )...a comunist and ugly building on the right side ... i didnt heed so much on it and from then you choose ..there are several streets ...if you turn to right you will see the nice Daud Pasa Baths (1466) and if you come back and turn left and go up you will get the castle and the main mosque in the city
