Things to know about entry to Egyptian Museum:


1. Whichever websites you may have visited and thinking of depending on that details, please forget about it! Especillay the Egyptian museum main website is not updated. They keep changing their details.

Entrance Tickets now are sold at LE 40 per adult, LE 20 per child.
Mummies Room now are sold at LE70 per adult, LE40 per child.

Of course for those have ISIC card will get a discounted ticket.


2. New regulation of year 2006, photography are prohibited, so make sure you dont sneak in your wonderful and expensive camera thinking that nobody will knows, in fact when you comes to entrance hall, everybody will be scan and check all your bags. So if you dont want to be stop make sure follow my tips.

Few occassion, tourist caught taking picture with their mobile phones end up got kick out of the museum. CCTV around and security are very tight. At least show some respect on the ancient egyptian collection.

You may store you camera at Storage booth just withing the Egyptian Museum courtyard, no fees and you'll collect a chip as verification.

3. Crowded!!! so early morning trip tp the museum is highly recommended, otherwise you end up like sardines on your way in.
