Jostedalsbreen National Park is one of the largest wilderness areas in southern Norway.

Located between the fjord and glaciers, with a breathtaking beautiful flora and fauna, Jostedal National Park lays on 1,230 square kms.

Among the animals in this area, here are to be seen: the Golden Eagle, the White-Backed Woodpecker and Lynxes.

The Centre of Jostedal National Park is located on the shore of the Strynsvatnet Lake and is offering a wide range of activities, such as: films shows, exhibitions on natural and cultural history, and a botanical garden.

With Jostedalsbreen glacier, the biggest glacier in mainland Europe, Nordfjord is one of the few places offering such stunning and divers landscape.

The landscape around Jostedalsbreen is characterized by large contrasts: from fjords and luxuriant u-shaped valleys with farms and traditional agricultural landscape to mountains and glaciers.
