The Philippines being a tropical country is generally hot and humid, an all-year-round destination up in the mountain is then but a usual retreat for the locals who are generally lowlanders longing for that comfortably colder weather. The favorite place is Baguio, better known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines and City of Pines - about 250km north of Manila and 6-hr. drive away.

Located at an elevation of 1400m ASL, Baguio has evolved eversince as a prime tourist destination offering natural spots and lately a lot of man-made developments enticing the ever-growing number of tourists.

When in Baguio, never miss to tour the Philippine Military Academy, the La Trinidad strawberry farms, the flower gardens; and the sprawling Camp John Hay wherein one day is not enough to tour the area with its varied activities and interesting spots to offer. At least a 3-day stay to enjoy and explore Baguio is recommended.
