Palazzo Bembo is a sumptuous example of Venetian Gothic architecture with its strong Moorish flavor resulting from the travels of Venetian merchants to the Eastern Mediterranean. It was built by the noble Bembo family towards the end of the 14th century along the quay destined for the unloading of coal, a resource which the family itself traded.
