"The Alfama" Alfama Quarter Tip by calcaf38

Alfama Quarter, Lisbon: 67 reviews and 136 photos

The Alfama is a very tight and narrow working-class neighborhood. Although it is being gentrified, it has not lost its flavor, It feels like a backward little town in the middle of the big city. You can hear roosters for instance. There is not much to do there, but to walk and soak in the flavor. It is, in my opinion, the most endearing district in Lisbon.

Address: Between the Castle Saint George and the River
