"The Famous Blackpool Tower" Tower Tip by jetwind

Blackpool Tower was inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, which was built for the 1889 International Exposition.
The Blackpool Tower Company was formed in February 1891. The foundation stone of Blackpool Tower was laid on 25th September 1891 and a time capsule was buried beneath it. The tower opened to the public on the 14 may 1894.

Visitors can take a ride to top of the tower and on a clear day can see the entire Fylde coast. As well as the tower visitors can enjoy a circus, a ballroom, aquarium, kids play ground and various eateries.
Guests are asked to pay a one off fee and all attractions of free all day long.
