Monument to the Ghetto Uprising, Warsaw: 114 reviews and 380 photos
There are about 1,500 items, about 1,000 photographs and numerous videos displayed on 2 levels of the Warsaw Uprising Museum which shows more than the anti-Nazi Uprising 1944 itself. It gives comprehensive information on complex and fast changing international situation in Europe after 1939 including establishing illegal Polish government in Moscow which following the Red Army showed off in Lublin, Poland in 1944.
First I passed by the museum bookstore and entered the first part of the Warsaw Uprising exposition called "The Rising after 60 years." The most interesting are stories of those who survived the Uprising. I could hear them through these phones in my picture. There is a portrait picture of the survivor and explanation in English and Polish by each telephone. But unfortunatelly for foreign visitors these old people (some were kids in 1944) speak in Polish and their stories are not yet translated into English. Well, it's the only English unfriendly place in the museum and should be improved as soon as possible.
