"Portraits of all kinds" National Portrait Gallery Tip by TempNomad

National Portrait Gallery, London: 39 reviews and 55 photos

We walked in to the National Portrait Gallery simply because it was freezing cold and wet and we wanted to get out of the bad weather. What an escape! We would have ended up here anyway, but it was even more lovely because of the relief we felt.

This gallery has an eclectic collection with something for everyone. Cliche, I know. But it's true nonetheless. The commentary is informative, and it's interesting to see portraits by a lot of more modern artists. It makes a fabulous contrast to a visit to the National Gallery's portraits. Definitely worth a visit.

Address: St Martins Place, WC2
