One would need to be in Siem Reap town to really understand the danger of income gap. everyone there seems to be eyeing a piece of flesh from all the fat tourist there.now there is alot more moto and Tuk Tuk driver around to the number of tourist, beggers are everywhere be it the childrens, mothers, disabled.

One would be very surprise just to look at the MENU in SR, you would see restruans and hotels and guest house charging first world prices.. but the hotels and restruan owners are the only ones gaining in this fat industary.. they are earning First World income but paying out third world expense for their rent, their untilise bill and extortion wages to salve their workers..

Due to the high unemployment rate and the lack of unions and laws avaible, the poor Kumars have to work for extremly long hours with such a misarable pay.. THey would have to work ever since they woke up in the early morning at 5 a.m and go to bed at only 11 or 12 midnight .just for the information, their sleeping time are their only rest hours. other then that, they would have to toll and sweat at the restruans or guesthouse or marsarge polour without any rest.. and how much they are paid for that, less then USD$10 a day..

The workers i seen are mostly young girls and boys below 25.. the owners are mostly chinese, not tat i am proud of it, but u could seldom see them around as they are the boss and kumars are workers. Everywhere you go, the only new buildings that are being built there are new pagodas or temple, it just dosn't make sense for a country like cambodia.. are they trying to find back their past glory by building great and nice temples?? shouldn't they be investing in their education ect??
Cambodia is a great place to be in..the people are extremely friendly and trustworthy..Kids will run up to you to say hi along the way.. I have no problems with any of the tuk tuk or moto drivers they are nice people and believe in having a long lasting business relationship other then a one short reap off from you..
