The museum is new and is a great place to visit. It's not a dry old historical museum. There are 2 theaters that fantastic: "The Eyes of Lincoln" and "Ghosts of the Library". We heard that both were designed with the help of Disney. The walk thru for the White House era was great and there was a replica of the Illinois State House where Lincoln's body was viewed by thousands. There was an actual coffin laying where the coffin would have. The atmosphere was so realistic, that a father told hushed his young son and told him to wisper while in this room. You can spend hours, but it's not too expensive. There's also a nice cafeteria.

Address: downtown Springfield, Illinois
