I did not have much time in Venice so i had to wake up really early so that i could maximise day to cover more ground. Since my hostel was on the other side of the island, i usually spent about 30mins to 1hr on walking to the centre (st. marks sq.). It not that easy to get lost because they have signs everywhere that lead you there. If all roads lead to Rome.. All calles lead to St. Mark's Sq... one way or another.. hehe

Depending on the route i took.. i will somehow always pass by at least 2 big churches. But these churches are not always open to the public. These churches are really huge too.. Though i must admit i know nothing about them :(.

But anway.. the streets are really quiet in the morning with elderly Venetians taking their morning walks, the water in the canal are so still. What i love most the how the sun rays peek through the narrow alleys and creates such a misty yet romantic feel.. It's so gorgeous.
