You cannot miss the inside. You must pay to visit it, but I think it is quite cheap. You can also buy an inclusive ticket for the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Musée Marey.
The first room you see is the Grande Salle or chambre des pauvres (room of the poor): it's a 72-metre long room with 28 beautiful canopy beds. Paintings and manikins of nurses and patients give you an idea of the life in the hospital.
