The Yu Garden is located in the heart of bustling Shanghai and it history dates back to the Ming Dynasty. The Yu Garden is now a popular tourist attraction. The Yu Garden began as a private garden created by Pan Yunduan, who spent almost 20 years to build this garden in order to please his parents in their old age. He named this garden 'Yuyuan' - which mean 'peace and health' in chinese
