by Ericasmurf99

The Globe Theatre is a faithful reconstruction of the open-air playhouse designed in 1599, where Shakespeare worked and for which he wrote many of his greatest plays. The theatre season runs from May to September with productions of the work of Shakespeare, his contemporaries and modern authors.

Address: 21 New Globe Walk Bankside London SE1 9DT.
Directions: There is a wide walking path, although it narrows near Shakespeare’s Globe and can get very crowded in summer as it passes the Millennium Bridge and the Tate Modern. A ramp descends to Shakespeare’s Globe.
