For the history buffs, you can wander insied the Pearl, not only to get out of the biting wind, but to learn about the unique history of Iceland and its somewhat brutal past. The museum has an audioguide explaining the history for you, as you stroll around to stations inside that are similar to a Madame Tussaud show, as fake Icelanders of the past are represented in the stages of Icelands development. It takes only about 30 minutes and is worth the education.
