The Peninsula Manila: "Vacation in Style" Makati Hotel Tip by JaneCajuguiran

The Pen as it is commonly known is situated right at the corner of Ayala (the main road in Makati City) and Makati Avenue. Just from the driveway, you'd feel the grandeur that the hotel is accustomed to. It is very close to the business district so it is perfect for the travellers who are here to do business. Rooms are huge and clean.

What I do remember is the hotel's lobby. This is the typical 5 star hotel with a huge lobby where you normally don't hear anybody talk yet you see them socialize anyway. We love the half gallon ice cream served in a huge bowl complete with fruits, nuts and cream.

It's so nice to lounge about in this place especially when you're there to just while away the time while music plays in the background.

The room is ok. the toilet and bath were just the right size, not so fancy. I just feel that the TV was a little too close to the bed that it reminds me of a motel. Or was it the angle at which it was placed in relation to the bed? anyhow, they're having the hotel renovated now so I hope they consider that.

Unique Qualities: Has a pool, several restaurants, a bar, spa, great view, business center, star bucks is at walking distance (just across actually), and a few meters away from some of the best malls in the Philippines. I love the breakfast buffet at Nielsen's.
