Berg am Starnberger See and Ludwig's Christ

In 1886 Ludwig's scheming political rivals succeeded in taking over his power; they arrested Ludwig II and put him in the Berg castle on the bank of Lake Starnberg.
On the very next day after the arrest, May 13, 1886, the King's body was found in the lake. The body of this mysterious political assassination's sole witness, Professor Gudden, was discovered near by.
