The castle has a spectacular setting. Sitting at the edge of a small harbour, you must cross a stone footbridge roughly 100 meters long. The castle contains a very interesting look at life in the 1100's. surrounding the main dining hall are a number of small peepholes. the Castles keeper would excuse himself from the table only to watch his guest through these holes from behing 2 feet of solid stone hoping to learn secrets or simply what they really thought of him!
