GASTOWN Apparently this place was pioneered by a guy nicknamed Gassy Jack (hhmm...that's all I have to say) who opened his saloon to the public. This is where you'll also find the only steam powered clock. It was designed in 1875 and it will chime every hour. It's not that terribly exciting but the comfort of seeing some steam in the middle of a cold November day does draw your attention.
