"Lam’s Chinese Restaurant" Lam's Chinese Restaurant, Ravenscourt Park Tip by Krumlovgirl

I wanted to try some different ethnicities on King Street when it came to restaurants. Ordinarily, I wouldn’t do Chinese because it is so available at home, but I made the mistake of trying to get lunch too early and it was the only place open. The décor inside is misleading from the outward appearance in that it feels a lot more elegant once indoors. (You know, we’re talking about cloth napkins and such.) It still being early, the place was empty except for me so the service was reasonably good. I say “reasonably” because I had already had excellent service at the Wishing Well and at Il Pomodorino the night before and now had a bias. I ordered a duck plate because for some reason I was on this duck kick for that part of the trip. While it was tasty, there seemed to be a lot of fat on it and there really wasn’t enough of it. When I can finish a plate of food it usually means there wasn’t a whole lot there to begin with. Still, the price was about average and it satisfied me, if not excited me.
