The way up to the Monastery is a real spectacular climbing along the mountains. You can do it yourself and walk up the 800 hundreds steps (wherever there are such steps), or hire a donkey and let him take you up. But mind that this experience, though exciting, might be a little risky. My donkey was climbing too fast at some moments, and I had the feeling that I was going to fall down to the bottom of the cliffs. And in some other moments, it seemed that it couldn't carry my weight. Finally, we reached the "donkey stop". Beyond that point, you must walk to reach the Monastery, but it is not such a long way anymore. Views are superb from here.
