This square was where the British used to run their administration for British India. It was called the BBD Bagh in honor of three freedom fighters killed during their attack on the Writers' Building in 1930, Binoy, Badal and Dinesh. Around this square, you'll see distinctive European style buildings still in good condition despite the hustle and bustle of the surrounding streets and traffic.
