"Pantheon" Pantheon Tip by codrutz

Pantheon, Rome: 272 reviews and 577 photos

The Pantheon is the only monument from the classical times (B.C.) that remained intact. Some of Italy's most famous kings and artists (like Raphael) are buried here. The interior is round, measuring 43,4 meters in width as well in height. It was a marvelous structure to built such an enormous roof at that times. The cupola has an opening of 9 meters, called The Oculus. Trough this prayers were supposed to raise more easily to the heavens.
