The signature landmark of Paris is a must for anyone coming to Paris for the first time. There are three levels you can go to. The first level costs about E 4.50, the second was about E 8, and the top level cost E 11. If you choose to walk at least up to the first level, you won't have to wait in line for an hour or two for the elevator, but for many people this is not possible, or desirable. There are two elevators that go up the legs from the ground, stopping at the first level and the second. However, you must get off here and take a different elevator in the center of the tower to reach the top level.
I do not remember about the top level because I was only 11 when I went up to it, but I believe it is pretty small and there is nothing to do there but look out and take pictures. On the first and second level, however, there are several souvenir shops with more than you'll need, as well as a small cafe so you can get a hot or cold drink and a small snack. I would recommend going at least to the second level, because the first is not very high and the view is much better at the second. Also enjoy the large park and greenspace surrounding the tower, with beautiful gardens and ponds full of ducks.
