If you approach Beechworth from the south (Hume Freeway/Wangaratta), just as you are about to cross the bridge, take a left and park. The bridge crosses Newtown Falls and this point is the end of the Gorge Road drive (see later tip) (also worth noting that Gorge Rd is one way - except for the last 50 metres or so - so don't go too far before you park!).

The bridge itself is also of historical significance, built by Scottish stonemasons in 1875 and once regarded as the best stone bridge in Victoria!
