"FINANCIAL DISTRICT Check this..." Financial District Tip by miaou

Financial District, San Francisco: 20 reviews and 49 photos

FINANCIAL DISTRICT Check this place out during the daytime. It?s quite dead in the evening. There are several things to look for here. Most notably is Transamerica Pyramid which has defined SF?s modern architecture. The other ones are Embarcadero-four identical buildings. These dull looking buildings from far are actually very expensive properties. Embarcadero is a great place to shop. Go to Union Square. Shop, shop, shop? it ranges from haut couture to the more affordable stores and they are all located in the same proximity. Union Square is where you'll find department stores like Macy's, Neimann Marcus and gigantic stores like Levi's and Nike. You can also take your cable car ride at the intersection of Powell and Market Street, which will take you to Fisherman?s Wharf. For lunch check out French and Italian eateries at Belden Place, especially Plouf. Belden Pl. is an alley located off Bush St and between Kearney and Montgomery. Very popular!

Address: Downtown San Francisco
Directions: East of Grant Ave., south of Washington St., west of the Embarcadero ringing the waterfront & north of Market St.
