The Adelphi: "High End Electronics Shopping" Singapore Shopping Tip by litekimchi

Singapore Shopping: 375 reviews and 407 photos

The Adelphi describes itself as a lifestyle mall. It's packed with electronic shops selling high end audio/video gadgets and equipment that carry brands such as Krell, Rotel and Harman Kardon, among others.

What to buy: For audiophiles and home entertainment enthusiasts, this is the place to be. I will not be surprised if you spend half a day here checking out equipment and asking for advice from the very knowledgeable sales staff.

I also saw a shop that sells high end camera equipment, such as Hassleblads and Leicas.

What to pay: For a Rotel RCD1072 (an HDCD player), I spent SGD800. It retails about US$699 (SGD1,100) online and in the Philippines.

Address: 1 Coleman Street
Directions: It's very accessible as it is a few steps away from the City Hall MRT exit in St. Andrew Cathedral. It is very near the Peninsula Plaza and Funan IT Mall.
Theme: Computers and Electronics
