The Ossuary is a pzramid, but it's smaller than the Pyramid of Kukulc?n. Some elements are similar, however: there are four sets of steps here, too, and the stairs are ornated with large snake heads on the ground.
On top of the pyramid there is a temple decorated with Chaac masks on its walls, but it cannot be visited. There are also pillars with masks of the rain god at the base of the pyramid.
Another thing that can't be visited is the cave under the pzramid: they say that this used to be the entrance to the World of the Dead. The Ossuary is called like this because in this cave several human bones were found. Some believe that this building is the the tomb of a great Mayan priest.
