The ancient Roman aqueduct just outside of Tarragona shows the magnitude of civilization dating back over a millennium. Tarraco was the heart of the Roman stronghold in Spain. This aqueduct does not take but a short time to see, but if you do it at the right time of day, the sun adds some beautiful reds and ambers to the horizon.

Address: N-240 a Lleida (a 4 km. de Tarragona), 43007, Tarragona
Directions: Driving on the Autopista from Barcelona, there is a scenic pull-off about 1/2 km to the east of the Tarragona exit and toll station.

Alternatively, you can take National road N240 (direction Valls), and it is 200m north of Autopista crossing
