"Out of town, great place and services" Godavari Village Resort Tip by Saagar

Godavari Village Resort, Kathmandu: 40 reviews and 2 photos

Want exclusion, swimming pool, tennis court, rural walks, good scenery and away from the city, yet in Kathmandu Valley? I found Godavari Village resort to be a good place for exactly this. I went there for a few conference days, but never mind, I did manage to check out some of the services and activities offered here.
Neatly made, quite nice and cosy and doesn't really overpower the scenery, even if it is quite big.
If going for good food I would choose one of theri a la carte options rather than the buffet style mass produced food, even if that was among the better I have tasted in Kathmandu, too.
Far from the citty, so their offer includes a shottle to/from town every 2 hours.
Check out their good web site for more service details.

Unique Qualities: The swimming pool was a good one, there aren't too many of them in Kathmandu. You can do a trip out there just for the pool. Day rates apply. It isn't heated, so in the winter it may be a tad too cold....
Good tennis courts, good food. But all conference hotels and weekend resort type places have this sense of impermanence.
