Taka: "This is not Japanese - Part 2" Perth Restaurant Tip by xuessium

This one borders on the sacrilege! Really, do people really believe that what they are eating here is Japanese? Come on folks, scooping things into a mass-produced bento box-set do not make your dishes remotely Japanese.
Good side of story: Then again, if I am backpacking, short of cash or hoping to save some while still intending to eat out, this might not be that really that bad a place. Afterall, down to the essential, food is food.
Decor? It looked like a school canteen and I will leave it as that. You place your order at the cashier and they issue you a pager. When the frisbie looking pager started to beep and twinkle like an UFO, you may then collect your orders from the kitchen.
The person who took my order had problems comprehending my orders and I had to repeat my orders thrice to make sure she got it.
The place is popular with teenagers and students though....and that possibly explained the school canteen look!
Closed on Sunday and Public Holidays.
Favorite Dish: Favourite? Funny.
My Teppanyaki Beef Bento set (small serving; A$6.50; 2006) came with (very sweet) STIR-FRIED beef that would make overly roasted rubber heavenly delicious. Throw in an awful mangling of Japanese coleslaw sans Mayo, a dish of PICKLED SZECHUAN VEGETABLE (What is that doing here? Good gracious!!) and finally to knock the last nail into the coffin, the wrong type of steamed rice.
