"Top of the Rock" Rockefeller Center - Plaza Tip by dejavu2gb
Rockefeller Center - Plaza, New York City: 209 reviews and 360 photos
Top of the Rock is an experience that provides visitors with breathtaking views of New York from the recently renovated Observation Deck of the 70th floor of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.
They have a clever reserved ticket system which ensures that the deck is never over crowded. You can also go up a few flights of stairs to be at the very top of the building. The views are gorgeous, and make for good photo opportunities.
I choseto go up the Rockefeller Centre as I wanted to get the Empire State Building in my pictures.
The only unfortunate part was that the Chrysler Building is slightly obstructed by another building, but that was about it, the view are fantstic, as you can walk around the whole building you can see New York from all sides, really worth the trip...
They are open year round from 08:30am until midnight. Please note that the last elevator goes up at 11pm.
The cost are $14 for adults and $9 for children.
What I did do was ask an official employee at the entrance of the building where the observation deck was, and the handed me a discount voucher, so it might be worth asking someone, and you could also get a few dollars off the fare.
