"Metropolitan Life Tower" Met Life Building Tip by dejavu2gb
Met Life Building, New York City: 9 reviews and 26 photos
This might not be one of the many great Landmarks that are on offer in New York, but I thought I would add it, as I really liked the building, its design and location.
This is the 700ft Metropolitan Life Tower, located at 24th and Madison Avenue. Its within very close proximity of the Flatiron building, so you see both of these sites all in one go.
I really liked the look of the tower as it has a very impressive clock tower and golden top. Its particularly nice in the evening when the top of the tower is all nicely lit up. This building overtook the Flatiron building as the tallest in the world in 1909, but then in 1913 it was surpassed by Woolworth Building.
Apologies for the poor picture quality, it was a very very wet and foggy day.
