The castle is built on a promontory overlooking the river and the rest of the city. It was magnificantly rebuilt in this century, and you can visit what remains of the Moorish palace (which now houses a restaurant) and... a donkey farm. The views from the walls and the terrace next to them are the best, and you can see the entire city and the river from here.

To get here, take the tram to Largo da Santa Luzia, and then walk up a couple of blocks to the entrance.
