"The A-Bomb Museum" Peace Park and Memorial Museum Tip by hoho2701

Peace Park and Memorial Museum, Hiroshima: 129 reviews and 266 photos

The memorial museum has a lot of good artifacts and very detailed description of the event.
It goes from the science and development of the A-bomb to the aftermath of the drop.
Aside from the museum, there's a fountain dedicated to the people who died from the bomb and
also a flame that's lit until the last a-bomb has been proliferated (which is almost never).

The most awesome sight was the building that's still standing from the blast. You can really tell
that the blast was no joke. Another interesting thing I saw was that the river which many Japanese
went into after the blast to cool off. Unfortunately, the river was about several hundreds degrees which
killed them instantly. The museum had a painting of ppl dying in the river which was pretty gruesome.
