Istanbul is a huge city which it has close to 20 million habitants. Traffic is going to be your problem sometimes. So plan your trip very well before waisting your time in the crowded streets of the city. Avoid rush hour traffic. Take subway if it is on your way, take a boat instead off crossing the bridge by car.

There is a new subway between Taksim- Levent in european side. I took it this year it is very modern and clean. It costs 1 YTL and 25 kurus

Also there is a tram which is very convinient to take it while there is a lot traffic. Between Kabatas- Zeytinburnu
