We joined the next line as soon as we left William G. McGowan Theater in the National Archives. That time we had to wait only a few minutes in front of high, decorative, partly gold gate leading to the round large hall called Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom.

Vaulted marble interiors of corridor between the Rotunda and the Theatre have interesting coffered ceiling. Missouri golden vein marble and Tennessee marble is used inside the National Archives. I've also noticed highly decorative doors in the corridor.
