"Don't forget a waterproof jacket!" Kenya Packing List Tip by TracyG

Kenya What to Pack: 45 reviews and 27 photos

Luggage and bags: Rucksack or holdall. If you plan to travel more independantly then a rucksack is probably better.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A waterproof jacket is invaluable, as are a set of good clothes and shoes for nights on the town.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Insect repellant and anti-malarials are a MUST, as well as a basic first aid kit. If you plan to trek far off the beaten path then an emergency kit - containing syringes, needles etc. may be something to consider.

Photo Equipment: In the larger cities there is no problem at all getting film, and it is pretty well priced as well, but always take more film than you think you will need wherever you are.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: It is always a good idea to take a mosquito net, particulalry if you are planning on sleeping outdoors.

Miscellaneous: A water bottle is essential, particularly if doing any longer hikes, if not then a bought bottle of water will do the trick.
