On the NE corner of Anglesey is the small hamlet of Penmon. Here you can find the remains of the 13th C priory, established by the Augustinian Order. However the origins of the site are with St Seiriol in the 6th century.
Nearby is the dovecote built in about 1600 by Sir Richard Bulkeley, It had room for up to 1,000 nests.
