The Old Farmhouse Restaurant and Bar: "Avoid at all cost" Pitlochry Restaurant Tip by e-katarina

Large Cafe / Restaurant with no perticular charm except for a nice fire place. Basically, all the tours that go from Edinburgh to the Highlands stop here.. so this place does not have to look for customers.. the tours don't actually tell you to go here, but they park right next to this place and seeing as you don't have much time, one doesn't tend to look further. If you are in one such situation, DO LOOK FURTHER! The fact that customers are garanteed by the tours mean that they treat the customers really baddly, cos they know these are people who are only here for the day and anyway the tours will bring them a new lot the next day. Basically as our tour arrived, some couples split up, one getting a table, and the other getting a drink and food at the self service bar. People didn't even have the time to sit, that one of the ladies of the restaurant in a not at all nice tone asked people who weren't eating to get out. Actually, these people were just waiting for their partner to come back with food and drinks. Then, when you do eat and drink, this is their strategy: send someone to snatch your mug and plate away, whên you've hardly had time to finish, and then send someone over to kick you out cos you're not eating or drinking, and you have no proof left that you have consumed.
Awful place, I'd have rather stood outside in the cold than gone in here and be insulted in such a way. Truly no respect to the customer. It's a disgrace, and just because they are supplied with tour buses every day doesn't mean they can treat people like that.
Address: On the right coming from Highlands near bus park
