The Greenfield Valley is also rich in industrial heritage. The water that tumbles down the valley from Holywell was harnassed to provide power for mills as part of the industrail revolution.
There were cotton mills, a battery works and also later a wire wrorks.
Many of the buildings are currenly being restored.
