Originally ordered up from a catalog offered up by a New York plumbing fixture builder in 1905, the Haller Fountain has been repaired and recast at least twice over the years. The fountain is set a block off the main downtown street at the bottom of stairs descending from the upper town. There is a little park where you can watch the waters burble from. The statue represents Galatea, a nymph out of Greek mythology. Interestingly enough, the same statue, minus the water pouring dolphins, can be found in St James Court in Louisville, Kentucky (though instead of Galatea, you will find Venus rising out of the Sea) - they must have used the same catalog ;-\
