"Todd River Walk" Alice Springs Things to Do Tip by gmg61

Alice Springs Things to Do: 129 reviews and 303 photos

Todd River "flows" through the centre of Alice Springs, but it's usually dry, unless during the wet season, when the bridges that runs over it get a reason of their existence, finally...:)

During the dry season it's just a strip of red sand and bush where you can walk. In one hour you can get to the Telegraph's Station and the Alice Springs's Spring. During the walk you can also leave the riverbed and walk along the slopes of the McDonnel Ranges, where - in the evening - it's easy to meet wallabies.

Nice and easy walk, but no water along the track.
